Context
Organizations increasingly run on several cloud providers for redundancy, cost and capability. That makes tracking and managing budgets across providers genuinely hard.
Problem: DevOps managers need to forecast and allocate cloud budgets accurately in multi-cloud environments, but projections often miss critical factors.
Goal: design an experience that lets technical personas (FinOps leads, DevOps managers and CTOs) create, track and understand budgets across platforms.

Research
Client interviews pointed to three needs:
- No clear read on budget health
- Customizable thresholds for alerts
- Trends that help stakeholders decide

Ideation
I mapped user flows, sketched layouts and identified core features, then split the experience into two sections: creating budgets, and managing them over time.

Iteration one
A dashboard showing current spend, budget creation and alert configuration. Easy-to-read graphs and preset alerts help people judge budget health at a glance.

Iteration two
Feedback led to full multi-cloud support, a clearer budget period display, a dynamic preview while creating budgets, and refined alert configuration.

Impact
- Monthly recurring revenue grew 11 to 13%.
- Adoption increased with both new and existing customers.
- Task success reached 86%, above the industry benchmark.
The lesson: technical users don't need more data, they need a trustworthy signal and control over when they're alerted.
